Sea Level Monitoring in French Polynesia: the Tide Gauges Network of the Geodesy Observatory of Tahiti

Abstract : We give an overview of the mean sea level data (GPS and radar) that have been collected, according to GGOS guidelines, in five islands in French Polynesia since 2007: Tahiti-Vairao, Rangiroa, Makemo, Mangareva and Tubuai, and assess their intrinsic quality and noise level. A preliminary analysis in terms of tendencies is given, with comparisons with satellite altimetric data.
