Contribution de la géomatique à l’observation des nids de tortues marines de Tetiaroa

Abstract : The Tetiaroa atoll is a high spot of marine turtle nesting in French Polynesia, Te Mana O Te Moana association is monitoring the turtles nests since 2007. Eleven years of data collection has been included in a geographic information system in order to spread and analyze these data. Some geomatic processings allowed enlightening the preferential nesting sites and analysing the influence of the distance between the nests locations and the reef barrier on the nesting site choice. This work allowed advocating some data collection improvements in order to increase the data accuracy and allow new processings for a better nesting behavior understanding
